The Spice of Life (or TSOL, to fans) follows Jake Furie Lapin, a 37-year-old sexaholic and loving Dom. As the first book in a three-part series, TSOL explores Jake’s transformation from a submissive, out-of-shape man, stuck in a sexless marriage, to a strong, successful, fit, loving Dom. This first book follows Jake as he describes his many sexual adventures, in great detail, to Kelli, his sex therapist.
Kelli Lemberg is a successful sex therapist who has an office-based practice in Manhattan. Like Jake, Kelli finds herself trapped in a marriage that is lacking heat and passion. Through her sex therapy sessions with Jake, Kelli begins to undergo an amazing transformation of her own, as she uncovers and explores the depths of her own inner sexuality and sensual fire.
My Review (WHAT I LIKED ))

In the beginning I really liked this book, Kelli your average sex therapist married to a dead beat guy in a shotgun wedding containing a pregnancy who after years discovers her marriage is somewhat loveless and she is looking to find more.
it was not what I expected and I started to get sucked in she signs up to this "dating website" if I may call it that ( lol when I read that it was the spice of life website I laughed my arse off having been on that website to research Jake for my blog it had me thinking was I strolling round a freaking dating website and didn't cop on ? ) so anyhow she signs up to this website in order to find what almost every person wants in a deadbeat marriage "something more".
She gets a ton of offers from the downright weird, sleezies and nutters as ya do, cmon its the net (shrugs) but I think she likes the thrill of those too in her own little way.
she gets one offer she does like and is afraid.... somewhat to pursue but is still excited she was supposed to meet the guy at a bar kinda loose invitation and ropes her friend into going to the bar on a different occasion with her.
She meets Jake comes across a bit of a weirdo also bad marriage they chit chat and he wants sex therapy and yes you guessed it she's it!
He attends weekly instructing her smallish, subtle commands which she obeys and convinces herself its because she is a good therapist going The extra mile kinda ☺
So anyhow he tells her of his hot sexcapades and vice versa and some of them is really hot yumm, she naturally gets hot and bothered and longs for him to do the same to her the relationship progresses tit for that, each sharing stories of steamy hot encounters and some not so hot, which build up to the end and I am so not going to cheat you and tell you what happens

(What I did not like )
I felt I became somewhat predictable in the middle a little flat and lacked that edge if I may to pull me in.
There was no real shock or gasp moments or I cannot believe they did that !
And that awful word (Member ) was used sometimes for cock come on what 18 year old or over says member ? Or is that just me ? It puts me off, for an adult story go deep or go home.
Plenty of books I have read say words like cock or dick or even phrasing it "she went down on me " something NOT member ( we don't want to join it we want to own it ) lol
All in all this is a really good book and if bored slutty housewives and take no prisoners men is your thing then go check out Jakes book
For me I'd like the follow ups to have more bite and less member.
